In just a few weeks Prime Meridian Capital Management will be at the LendIt USA 2015 conference in NYC, the world’s largest online lending trade show in America. Prime Meridian Principal, Don Davis, will be speaking on the panel “Asset Allocation: Where Does the Asset Class Fit?” with representatives from Blackrock and other recognized firms.
For this year’s conference LendIt is expecting well over 1800 attendees- a substantial 50%+ increase over last year, and has expanded both the trade show floor and number of presenters. Attendees are a made up of platform providers, investors, bankers, and service providers from a diverse set of companies interested in all things related to alternative lending.
Uniquely, this event attracts individual investors, small start-up firms, as well as larger players. This diversity reflects the potential for growth that is still possible in marketplace lending.
The platforms you expect, like Lending Club, Prosper, and SoFi will be there, but the Start-Up zone is just as exciting. This is a new feature for 2015 that group start-ups in marketplace lending together in one area. You’ll see new platforms, tech start-ups and other innovative technology.
